Modern IT Organizations all over the globe are moving towards sustainable IT Service Management Frame Works to align with the companies business challenges and opportunities. However, the definition and implementation of IT Industry Best Practice is not something an experienced CIO or IT Director would consider an easy task to be done. It is not only about the “Return on Investment” (What exactly will I get when I am going down this road?).
Paul Wilkinson (Director & Owner at Gamingworks), is coming to the ITIL Forum as a Keynote speaker and will kindly running this workshop with us based on his ABC@work concept. ABC stands for the 'Attitude', 'Behavior' and 'Culture' and is a critical success or fail factor for organizations adopting and deploying best practice frameworks such as ITIL®.
Paul researched the global top 10 worst practices in IT management (Taken from ABC workshops held with more than 3500 IT professionals worldwide). The Global worst practices revealed a significant threat to the increased uptake of ITIL. This being the fact that 70% to 80% of ITIL initiatives fail to deliver the required value and the fact that more than 50% of such initiatives fail because of resistance. It was revealed that the ABC of ICT issues are the key reasons for failure.
It is about changing the attitude, behavior and culture of organizations and teams. |
